The Oxford Schools Chaplaincy (OSC) is committed to supporting and resourcing Oxford schools.  We aim to present the Christian faith to pupils in a relevant and clear way, provide a recognised link between churches and schools, and offer pastoral support to both staff and pupils.

"Oxford Schools Chaplaincy (OSC) offers a highly creative and engaging way of teaching pupils about the heart of the Christian faith. They have worked hard to complement various parts of the curriculum and are an essential resource for those teaching R.E in Oxford. They also have the added benefit of having the support of a large number of Oxford churches.  I wholeheartedly recommend them."

Rt Rev Steven Croft The Bishop of Oxford

We believe that it is essential to equip young people to make good informed decisions about faith and lifestyle.  We also believe that the church should play a key role in the life of the community.

Oxford Schools Chaplaincy aims to provide:

  1. A useful educational resource for local schools, giving a faith perspective on a wide range of important issues as well as ready access to the local church.

  2. An accurate and broad understanding of living faith and its practice, challenging common misconceptions about the Christian faith in the modern world.

  3. Support and encouragement for Christians working in the schools, whether pupils, teachers or other members of staff.

  4. A link between local schools and local churches

  5. Training and resources for those communicating the Christian faith in schools
